Review: Forrat’s Protein Bites

In a recent order from a local supplement shop I was sent some sample items, one of those items is today’s review victim “Forrat’s Protein Bites” (this item is listed on their website as “ CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BITE”). I’m always happy to receive samples when I order online and finding new ways to meet my required daily amount of protein is always a plus. The Sports Gene by David Epstein — Review

I recently became an Gold member and as my first audiobook via the service I decided to choose The Sports Gene by David Epstein. It took me a bit longer than expected to listen to the 10 hours and 22 minutes of audio (about a week), but after listening I think that audiobooks are a great way for busy people to enjoy the wonderful world of literature. Review: Canadian Protein Mint Chocolate Chip Whey Isolate

Today I thought it would be nice to write the first product review here on Fitness on a Budget. As we are all well aware, the marketplace is filled with junk supplements which are often nothing more than snake oil but the basics of protein, fish oil, and possibly a multivitiman are pretty solid choices. One of the main issues when it comes to these items however is just how many options exist out there. In this little write up I am going to take one of those (lesser known) choices, put it through a battery of tests and decide if it is worth the cost or if looking elsewhere for a choice of whey protein isolate would be a better decision. I will provide a rating for each of the following criteria: macronutrient values, taste, mixability, texture and cost as well as an average of all combined scores as the overall score.
